Bench Ball

In PE last week we had Sport-s-cool in to deliver a multi- skills session! We had lots of fun playing different warm up games and then finally bench ball! 

Archaeological Dig

Our new IPC unit in Year 2 this term is ‘finding out about the Past.’

We have looked carefully at the role of an archaeologist, what their job involves, what they wear and what equipment they need to use.  We then had a morning where we became archaeologist as we took part in an archaeological dig in school! We found things from the Romans, Vikings, Victorians and Tudors.

As part of this unit the children also brought in a collection of 5 items which provided clues as evidence about themselves and what kind of person they are. E.g. if they like football they included a football boot. If they like dancing they included a picture of a dancer or ballet shoe.  We had a great time looking inside the boxes of evidence and writing about what kind of person the box belonged too.
