Attendance

OFSTED identified attendance as an issue that we must address.

Every child is entitled to attend school on 190 days each year. Good school attendance is a key to a child's future success.

While we understand that a child will sometimes be unwell, and there are occasional family crises that mean a child must miss school, we will not authorise absence for holidays during term time. You can read the full policy by clicking on the link below.

The tables below show the percentage of attendance for the last three years.

The national benchmark figure for good attendance is 95%. 

However, to minimise the risk of infection, the nationally recommended time to keep a child off school if they have vomited or had diarrhoea is 48 hours.
