EVENT

CHRISTMAS FAIR - SATURDAY 8th DECEMBER 2012

The Christmas Fair is one of the largest events in the Friends calendar and this year did not disappoint. We estimate a surplus of approximately £2000, which is no mean feat in the current economic climate. Well done!

We had some lovely stalls, amazing raffle prizes and a magical Santa's grotto. The children loved it.

Our thanks go to all the stalls, raffle donors and local businesses for your continued support. It is much appreciated.

Friends did a wonderful job but we were also supported by the staff, pupils and parents, who helped donating, oraganising and running the fair. As always, without you these events would not be so successful.

Unclaimed raffle prizes have been carried over to the next event where possible.

THE BIG RUN!

Two plucky parents ran the Chester Marathon on Sunday October 7th 2012.
Andy Scargill and Simon Mallinson completed 26 gruelling miles on a beautiful Autumn day in Chester.

Well done chaps!

So far their fund raising has reached over £1200 for Friends, funds which will be used to purchase new playground equipment.

Thank you to everyone who sponsored them and supported the school.

PAMPER & SHOPPING NIGHT

Another wonderfully relaxing evening with a variety of treatments and gift stalls. Although not vey well attended, those who did come enjoyed indulgent treatments such as reiki, indian head  and hot stones massages at very reasonable prices. They also walked away with plenty of presents ticked off their Christmas list!

Thank you to all our therapists and stall holders, and to everyone who attended. We raised approximately £140.

Any suggestions of how to make this evening an even bigger success would be much appreciated. Please email friends@myrtlepark.com with your comments.

BAG2SCHOOL OCT 2012

Thank you to everyone who dragged their unwanted textiles and cuddly toys into school. There was a mountain of blue bags in the KS2 playground which weighed in to raise a fantastic £220! Thank you to everyone for bringing a bag in and well done to Year 1 for bringing the most bags in. The next collection will be in February 2013 so start putting your unwanted clothes, curtains and towels to one side now!

Family Snail Race Night - Saturday 19th May 2012 at 6.30pm

A FANTASTIC TIME HAD BY ALL - WHAT A NIGHT.  OVER £900 RAISED ON THE NIGHT AND THAT'S A RECORD.

Thank you to all the helpers before during and after the event.  Without you these events could not go ahead.

We hope you will tell your friends and other parents about the SRN and what a great time you had.  We had a full house the hall was packed and we would urge people to buy tickets in advance so we know how much drinks and food we need as we needed to go and buy extra items on the night which could have been avoided.

Well Done to our winners on the night were:

Race 1 - Ava Stoneman (Splatman)

Race 2- Joseph Mitchell (Golden Boy)

Race 3 - Hattie Mallinson (Snaily There)

Race 4 - Year 3 (Les Cargo)
