The Nursery and Reception children are very fortunate to have access to their own playground which has a special tarmac to provide a soft fall. Rainy day clothes are provided for children who want to play out in all weathers and the playground has been developed to provide as many indoor area's outside so that children who prefer to be outside can benefit from the indoor activities. Just take a look . . .

Here is the ICT suit. We have a range of laptops so the children can search the Internet, play games and practice writing articles, stories and letters to develop their computer skills.

Above is the Community Room. Named as such because this room is offered as a way of bringing the community in to Keelham Primary School. Offering the community the opportunity of coffee mornings and a quiet and private place to discuss issues or ideas with teachers, the special educational needs co-ordinator and other out side agencies. Over the past few months the Community Room has proved itself to the school as a valuable asset.

Above is the Children'sRoom. This room is used by small groups of children as a quiet and relaxed area to do work, it is used at dinner time by the 'quiet club' which is a group of children that come inside from playing out for some relaxing time and it is also used for the Keelham Crew on an afternoon as child care. Children have access to the nintendo wii so they can still have physical exercise if the weather does not permit out door play, as well as many other games and arts and craft activities.

Children also have access to what we call the 'top playground'. This is a playground designed especially for ball games such as football and basket ball. It has a high fence all the way around and has goal posts and a hoop, and is a large clear space for the children to run about in.

As you can see here the children have access to a gazebo and shelter over the playground. This enables the school to take the children out in all weathers. Also there are facilities available so that the children can climb, balance, jump and rest.

Above you will see the library. The children can be found in the library enjoing a little quiet time, choosing from a variety of fictional books, non-fictional books and poetry. Many children at Keelham Primary have a love for books at such a young age and so these facilities are well used.
