What we provide
St Johns Care Club provides a clean and safe area for children to play.
We encourage good behaviour and lead by example.
As the children have been structured all day at school we give a good opportunity for choice of activity and free play.
We do provide for a more structured approach such as sports and team games, the age range and abilities of the children are taken into consideration.
Craft activities are provided. The children are given a choice as to whether to do them or not.
One on one activities such as reading and help with homework is provided within the larger setting.
The environment affords a good choice of indoor or outdoor activities.
Drinks are available at all times.
Snacks such as sandwiches, fruit and yoghurts are available in the afternoons for a further charge.
Dietary needs are catered for.
A wide variety of games, equipment and free play facilities are offered daily.
Occasionally, a volunteer provides specialist activities.
We provide a caring and loving environment, which works in line with the Christian principles and ethos of both the Church and School.
A good relationship is kept between the staff and the parents.
St. John’s Care Club will operate two sessions per day.
Morning / Breakfast session 7.45am to 8.45am
Afternoon session 3.30pm to 6.00pm
A light breakfast will be provided in the morning session where children will be able to have a choice of items, for example cereal, toast etc.
The afternoon session will include biscuits and juice. A light snack is provided for an extra charge.
Fees:
These are assessed at the beginning of each new school year. Please contact the care club for current costs.
Charges are made for the whole of each session whether or not the whole of the session is used.
There may be additional charges if extra activities take place such as trips or crafts needing specialist materials.
