Addingham Primary School Sports
The Addingham Primary School Year 5/6 Boys Football Team has been competing in the Wharfe Valley Primary League. The matches have taken place every other Friday at the Ben Rhydding AstroTurf with the team going unbeaten all season and have now been crowned champions. In addition to that, we competed in a ‘champions versus champions’ match against Horsforth Newlaithes – who had also been unbeaten all season. We came out victorious, winning 6-5, in a competitive match. All the boys have performed admirably with a great attitude. Thanks must also go to Mr Blackwell at Ilkley Grammar School who has organised and ran the leagues.

We have new football kits for our boys and girls teams. One has been sponsored by Jaberwocky and the other by Top Marks. Thank you to our sponsors the kits are great.

Year 5 Netball
On Tuesday 2nd October we played a netball match against Burley Oaks Primary School. It was held at Ilkley Grammar School on the courts. The referees were Year 9 children. It was a close competition and we were working really hard. The final score was 10-4 due to our excellent passing and team work.

Girl’s Football Report
Our football team this year is a mixture of Year 5 and Year 6 as there was only three volunteers from Year 6.

Our first match on Friday 27th September 2012 we played against Ashland’s Year 6 class. The first half score was 1-1. The second half Ashland’s gained a point which left the scores 2-1 to Ashland’s.
We hope to gain more points in our next match Friday 12th October 2012. Our matches are sequences every other Friday.
